Saturday Science Academy II exposes Pre-k through 12th grade students to fun and engaging science material in an effort to motivate them to move into health care fields after graduating high school. The program deepens and sustains student interest in science, health education and establishes a pathway through college and into health professions. Students are introduced to various concepts in human anatomy and physiology, math, biomedical engineering, physical science, plant life and marine biology, each in an 8-week academically rich learning intense program phase. Each phase is designed to introduce students to broad and in-depth subject area content thereby increasing their knowledge. Within this programmatic framework, complimentary program activities are employed to maximize student learning outcomes and engage parents/caregivers.
During the summer, a 4-week mathematics program is provided to encourage reinforcement and retention of academic knowledge and skills gained throughout the academic year. SSA II also includes a College Readiness component, SAT preparation, Critical Thinking course, Parent workshops and field trips to supplement classroom learning with real world experiences. SSA II places a heavy emphasis on work ethics that are applicable to school and are important for joining the work force, their future educational goals, the health care industry and working with the community.

CDU MedSimulations prepares High School Students for the rigors of post-secondary education, exposes them to real life medical simulations, clinical skills and encourages them to pursue higher education with a focus in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and/or medical (STEM) professions. The program fosters the critical thinking, problem solving, communication, and teamwork skills necessary for success in future educational/career pathways. CDU’s MedSimulations aims to provide underserved, under-resourced high school students of color with medical simulations training and clinical skills education. The main program goals are to: Deepen and sustain student interest in science and the medical field, Expand student interest in health education, Establish college pathways to health professions.
Opportunity Scholars Public Health Academy (PHA) 国产偷拍视频is an enrichment program in which High School Students interested in improving community health through public health professions develop skills to prepare them for higher education and build networks within health professions. 10th-12th grade students accepted into this program participate in educationally enriching experiences that includes a paid 4-week summer program, internship, mentorship, tutoring, mental health course curriculum, SAT Preparation and college preparation courses.

CDU Mobile STEM labs (CMSL) 国产偷拍视频provides elementary grade students with access to a quality STEM program focused on inspiring the next generation of South Los Angeles Scientists. This program encourages students to enter the health care field and is aimed towards eliminating disparities in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics curriculum. Additionally, the standards-based learning laboratories enhance opportunities of disadvantaged students to excel in their academic achievements. The overarching goal of the program is to increase the number of minority youth who successfully complete college in the STEM fields.
